2009 Readers' Cup -
Brisbane North Regional

Four of our Year 7 girls competed at Norris Road State School recently in the Brisbane North Regional Competition of the Readers' Cup. Thirty-two schools competed this year, sixteen state schools and sixteen private schools. Whilst the girls did not come in the top ranked schools on the day, they were great ambassadors for our school and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

The books to be read for this year's competition were:

  • The Night We Made the Flag - Carole Wilkinson (Picture Book/Historical)
  • Pencil of Doom - Andy Griffiths (Humour)
  • Launched - J.A. Mawter (Adventure/Mystery)
  • Noodle Pie - Ruth Starke (Family)
  • Dragon Dawn - Carole Wilkinson (Fantasy)

(Sport) The 2009 Sports Awards will be held this afternoon in the undercover area.

Year 7 School Leader Lunch
December 7, 2009 (12:00 pm - 1:30 pm)
(Special Events) Year 7 school leaders will join the Principal and Deputy-Principal for lunch today.
